Ombudsman- agree for settlement or go for hearing?

Hi All,

I had filed an ombudsman complaint against my insurer for denying my mother’s cancer treatment claim stating it was a pre existing condition that was not disclosed. We submitted all the documents and hearing was scheduled next week. Today we got a mail from ICICI saying they are ready to settle full amount.

If I accept this settlement , can they reject future claims with same pre existing illness clause?

If I go for hearing do I have better chance of safe guarding future claims?

Please help
