16ft canoe on my Honda civic

After renting canoes for a while now my wife and I decided to (on a whim) buy a 16ft fibreglass canoe. I didn’t think of the logistics of how to get the Canoe on my car and just assumed it would be like how I get my kayaks on the car but after the fact of purchasing the kayak I came to my senses and remember how light and small my kayaks are vs this canoe. I don’t have roof racks but I’m willing to put some on.

Anyone hauled a 16ft canoe on a small car how’d you do it? Any advice thank you. We are picking it up this weekend 😅
