Hey guys, I'm back with another map from my alternate history world. I'm thinking of posting these maps and other content in a page somewhere, if you guys have any suggestions lmk! Anyways, today we have Mexico! Or the Mexican Empire. I'll explain the lore for this one

After the independence is won in this scenario, Augustín de Iturbide looks at how the United States failed to form an unified government and broke into several republics. Fearing something similar would happen to Mexico, he is more cooperative with the republicans at the national Congress, and doesn't fire Santa Anna from his post, guaranteeing that he remains in the throne, and that Mexico has a stable government. (Not the most realistic change, but Alternate History is about Plausibility in my opinion, not Realism :\])

Louisiana was sold back to Spain after the Napoleonic wars, since Napoleon was unable to sell to anyone else, given the lack of a federal government in the 13 republics, and so the Louisiana territory passed down to Mexico, who in this timeline quickly settled its northern lands, and utilized its wealth to make improvements in the army and the country, repelling any invasions that could come from the Yankees. Mexico slowly becomes a regional superpower, acting like the United States in OTL, they invade Cuba, the Philippines and Puerto Rico, freeing them from the Spanish Empire. On the first of January of 1900, Mexico City was renamed to Tenoztitlan, to commemorate a new Century for the country (I thought it'd be a cool idea. I changed the spelling from “Tenochtitlan” to “Tenoztitlan” . I thought it'd make sense for the word’s spelling to be changed in lore.) There's some little bits of lore in the image as well, if you are curious enough. Feel free to ask questions down below!
