Show us your Pearls!

Pearls get a fraction of the attention rings do on here, which feels like an oversight given how much variety there actually is. Quick primer before you post:

Akoya: classic white/cream, high luster, typically smaller and very round...the traditional “pearl necklace” pearl.

Freshwater: grown in mussels rather than oysters, more affordable, wider range of shapes and colors, often less perfectly round.

Tahitian: naturally dark (grey, green, peacock) grown in black-lipped oysters, no dye needed.

South Sea: the largest and rarest of the four, warm white or gold tones, from Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Today's thread: show us your pearls! necklace, studs, a single pendant, an heirloom strand you inherited and never wear because you're terrified of it. Tell us the type if you know it, and where it came from.

Extra credit if you have a pearl piece with a story attached. Grandmother's, a gift, a flea market find that turned out to be real.
