How long does your GP take to call with test results?

Had tests carried out last Monday at the fertility clinic. Told results would be back within a week and theyd be sent to my GP who would contact me.

Hadnt heard anything back so called my GP today, the receptionist confirmed they have arrived (they obviously couldnt tell me anything else) and that the GP would get in touch or i can call back at 8:30 tomorrow morning to try and book an appt.

Understandably nervous about results, just wondering what the usual procedure is here - if say the results only arrived this morning, will they go to the back of the queue and i'll only get a call back end of the week or something?
