Got an old Marlin 783 .22 WMR, want to swap out to some new Sling studs so I can mount a Harris Bi-Pod. Is it drop in, or do I need to drill?

This is what I was looking into so I could use my Harris Bi-Pod. However it looks like I'll need to drill, which makes me hesitant to modify the gun.

Thoughts?
