Best Gaycation destinations and tips in Europe ? (+ my tips if you visit Paris)

Greetings from Paris 🇫🇷 !

I think this is the perfect sub to ask this, i’m looking for a nice destination to go to on vacation with a rich gay scene.

I visited Barcelona this July and it was amazing, i went to the gay beach of Mar Bella, i also went to Sitges and had the chance to enjoy a few gay bars and clubs (Candy Darling, Arena Xperience, Sala Apolo).

If you guys live in a city with a big gay/lgbtq scene give me your tips on how to meet people and have fun there.

Since i already live in a big city, these are my tips if you ever go to Paris and want to explore the gay scene here :

- LGBT or Gay spaces tend to disappear in Paris, they are replaced by themed events which are regularly organised in different parts of the city, for exemple every friday there is a free party called VendrediX, and every month they organise a big party with clubbing called VendrediXXL. So the best advice i can give you is to use an app called Shotgun, on this you can find all the clubing/bars events in the city and book your tickets there if you need to. There is also Agenda LGBT which is the same but only focused on LGBT events, they have an app and an instagram page with what to do each week in Paris. Some of the famous parties you check : VendrediX and VendrediXXL, Jeudi Ok, La Dimanche, La Turbulence, La versa.

- If you want to check the saunas, the biggest one is the Suncity, IDM sauna is also good.

-The marais is still a good gay neighborhood but most of the bars are being replaced by fashion brands shops. Still you can have some fun at the Quetzal bar or Coxx. Quetzal is a younger (30’s - 40´s) than Coxx (50´s and 60´s). If you like bears there is a bears bar called Bearsden. The Raidd bar is also fun but very touristy, you’ll find people of all ages there, often gay tourists and their girl friends.

-Other spopular gay bars include the Rosa Bonheur (2 adresses, my pick is the one in Buttes Chaumont), and in summer you should check Chez Mylène in Bastille.

-If you like cruising outdoor, there is a naturist space in Bois de Vincennes, in summer it’s the most important cruising hotspot in the city. Be careful and discreet though, the parc is opened to everyone.
