It was one of those flings that seemed straight out of a movie. You were wide eyed, hopeful, and if I have to admit, a little naive when we met. You were in your first year of university and wanting to explore yourself and the world around you.

I was the older man who helped guide you through that for an unforgettable year. I had gone back to school after getting my first degree and taking a few years to travel and teach in Asia and Europe before coming back to get my proper teaching degree to work back in our home city for a good wage.

I was perfect for you at the time. I was well travelled, I was confident, I was outgoing and funny. I had interesting friends and stories and you always seemed a bit in awe of the world I lived in and what I had already accomplished by age 28. I was experienced as well. I knew what I wanted and how to get it. I was very cock sure and that seemed to really turn you on back then.

But then reality set in and the fairy tale ended. I graduated and got a job teaching in the next town over and you were only hearing into your second year of university. We weren't living in the same universe anymore and we agreed it would be good for both of us to have total freedom to explore and settle into our new realities.

You had moved to another city, away from friends and family, and now realized that was a huge mistake!

You decided to move back to our town 6 months after the marriage ended and the divorce was finalized. You wanted something familiar and comfortable as you tried to rebuild your life...rebuild yourself. You wanted to forget the past completely and have a new start at life...

Until I spotted you ordering coffee at my usual after-work coffee shop. I had my daily marking and laptop out at my usual table when you walked in and waited in line to order. I couldn't believe my eyes! I smiled from ear to ear and felt a surge of excitement at seeing you again, a little more mature with a body that filled out into a gorgeous woman.

I walked up to you to say hello, having no clue that our lives were about to be intertwined in ways that we could have never predicted...and it was the hottest time of my life!
