Looking for a CDCP Dentist in Newfoundland With No Extra Fees

Hi everyone,

I just received my approval letter for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). From what I understood, my coverage is 100% of the established fees. However, I've been told that dental fees in Newfoundland are higher than the CDCP fee schedule.

Is there any dentist in Newfoundland that accepts the CDCP without charging anything out of pocket?

I called a clinic and was told that even for a basic cleaning and checkup, I'd still have to pay around $150 out of pocket, despite having 100% CDCP coverage.

Has anyone in Newfoundland found a dentist that doesn't charge extra, or is this pretty much the norm? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
