Apprenticeship vs Esthetician school

Hi I’ve just started to be really passionate about esthetics and I even toured a school but the price was a bit much, especially since with the basic esthetician course you don’t even really practice on machines. I talked to my previous esthetician about schools and she said to make sure that the basic esthetician license gives you experience with machines otherwise it’s not really worth it.

However, the school is like the best in the state, but then I saw someone talk about apprenticeship. Then I looked it up and it takes a bit longer, but you can get your license through an apprenticeship. But now I’ve been trying to look, and I can’t really find anything to get someone to take me on as an apprentice and I don’t really know where to look.
So I guess anyone who has experienced with this who’s been an apprentice or has gotten their license from a school, I guess like what’s your experience with that and what would you recommend?
