Delayed chemo

My TCx6 chemo has been delayed, the infusion I scheduled to have was this week but was cancelled and my next infusion won’t be for about 3 weeks. That will be more than a month since my last (and first) infusion.

I’m disappointed and anxious to get the next one going. But I had a complication with my surgery so I had an outpatient procedure done 1.5 weeks ago, which is why my surgeon recommended I take a break from chemo to heal. I just didn’t realize it would be this far out. I’m just waking feeling ready to go and anxious and in limbo with little control over that. I did not enjoy and fear the prophylactic response I had from T chemo at first infusion. I want this all to be over with.

Anyone else wait this long between infusions for similar reasons? I like my plastic surgeon and respect him so much. I appreciate his conservative approach and feel cared for and quality care. I just really want to get going and now am like, ugh, this feels a little extra (maybe by a week…..).
