2017 Hyundai Tucson cat removal?

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend bought a 2017 Tucson about 2 years ago. And it almost immediately started having acceleration issues.

We took it to 3 different mechanics including the Hyundai dealership and they concluded it was the 2? cats being completely clogged, they covered the $3000 replacement on warranty.

Car ran great for about 6 months and immediately back to the same thing. We have another appointment to have them assessed again but they won’t cover them this time. We don’t want to have to do this yearly.

Am I able to straight pipe it? I know the sensors will be left unplugged and an engine code will permanently be there. That is fine with us as long as it doesn’t affect the engine in any negative way.

Ps. Car burns a ton of oil. Which I assume fortifies the clogged cats diagnosis
