DAE get stuck on approve edits?

On the codex windows desktop app, the chat keeps asking me to approve file edits (which it never did before), and i cant approve nor deny them - the buttons are unresponsive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing using windows, resetting using windows - nothing works. This perhaps only affects remote projects.

I don't know how to reproduce this problem, I'm simply on the latest version of the windows codex app and all file edit approval requests are unresponsive.
