Opinion about Negev?

lately I played some wingman with a friend, we decided to turn it into some challenge by both buying Negevs only, it felt horrible with movement obviously and peeking even worst. after like 7 matches to our surprise we managed to win like 5 and 2 ties 1 lose.
I'd like to know your thoughts on it, is it plain OP, does it feel like a handicap? for me it felt like a cheap moving turret which could even take out AWP'ers on distance. anyhow we had a blast with it, made us feel like storm troopers
