Disability Pride and Magic: The Gathering

Direct link to the interview

July is Disability Pride Month, and I'm honored I got the opportunity to write about the intersection of playing Magic and the concerns of disabled and differently-abled individuals. Plus, as a modestly-published writer, it's cool as hell to sit down with someone you can look up on Google.

One of the great things about Magic is that it's a great shared experience over an hour or two with individuals from different backgrounds, and I had the pleasure of interviewing Daretti_IRL, AKA MikeTheQuad, a Twitch streamer, Magic player, and inclusive design advocate, to get some deeper insight into the experience of being a disabled member of the wider Magic community.

I hope you find his insight interesting. I learned a lot, and was inspired by his creativity and upbeat attitude in the face of his daily challenges that I'd never considered.
