Becoming adept at Fund Formation

This was posted on Fishbowl and had great responses. Hoping to get additional guidance on this sub.

Funds attorneys - how do you develop your skills as an attorney?
Almost mid-level and feel like my job is just to search for precedent (what did we give last time in the side letter, dupe and tweak LPAs, PPMs, etc.). How do I build a deep understanding of the documents, etc? Do you sit down and read each section of the LPA, PPM, etc? I feel like thats hard to do as there’s a pressure to get out the docs asap (and I don’t want to do this in the sliver of free time that I have). Do you read books on asset management? Podcasts?
