Redundancy vs self-worth
I'm 43 and I'm currently going through redundancy at my job, of which I have worked at for 20 years. I've never really been happy in the job, but it was a secure job and easy, at a time where security was needed with 2 children and a house.
Now I have zero idea what to do next. I know I could be great at something if I care about it, but I have no idea what and I worry that others will see me like I see myself - not good enough. There are a few things I would love to be able to do in my job - travelling and staying in Seoul and/or Tokyo fairly often would be a dream - but what chances do I even have at my age and not knowing what I can do.
Thinking about this has been so mentally debilitating because I have no idea where to start, how to start or if I am smart enough to do something I'd enjoy. I feel like I am just someone who is destined to spend their whole life with baseline unhappiness and frustration because I am just hopelessly limited?
