Am I crazy or they just greedy ?

I asked both Garcia jewelery and Daniel jewelery if they could remake a cuban for me with my own 45 grams 18k. They both could not which is weird to me for expert jewelery makers. They offered to buy my value in gold and add it to the bill. Garcia to make the same weighted bracelet would’ve been 1500$ extra and Daniel jewelery 1165$ to make the same weighted bracelet. I don’t think that makes any sense. Let me know what you guys think.

Personally I think they are both crazy to charge that much after taking my gold.
