Help/Advice wanted for continuing to play AL going from iOS to Linux

I'm trying to switch over to Linux, but I have been playing AL on my iPad and naturally want to keep my account.

What I'm thinking is to switch my account over to Android, and then emulate it on Linux.

1. Can you switch the account over iOS -> Android? Is a switch even necessary, or can I just login with the Yostar account on Android and everything (progress, ships, skins, etc) will all be there?

2. What is a good recommended Android emulator on Linux?

3. What specs are needed to run the emulator and play the game well?

If it matters, I was planning on using Linux Mint or Debian.
