I'm just going to start blocking low ballers
I just want a vent and I know there's going to be people who side with the lowballers but thats Reddit.
I've over 600 5 star reviews from both buying and selling and whilst I know a couple of negative reviews won't change that its the absolute frustration of having to deal with these people.
Last week I sold two items to low ballers for the full price I wanted after declining offers from them multiple times. One started wanting 35% off, the other offering 40%. Both items were just listed when they started offering and were in great condition, had plenty of views so I knew I didnt have to start haggling but I absolutely should have blocked them.
One was a high value item (£150) that the buyer never confirmed on and let it auto complete. There were two other versions of my item on Vinted, mine was the cheapest by £20, they could've tried the others and negotiated them down. They left me negative feedback saying the item was filthy and unusable, this wasn't true. I've always recorded myself packing all the items I post after reading horror stories on here so I know they were immaculate when they were photographed and when they were packed. It was just petty feedback because I wouldn't negotiate.
Then I sold a £20 dress (Zara limited edition past season, also the cheapest one on Vinted), buyer asked to reserve within 15 minutes of me listing it which I said no to so after offering £12, £13 etc etc she paid the £20. Its arrived today and on the hem on the inside of the lining is a thin white thread sticking out by about half a cm, the kind where it should have probably just been trimmed a bit better in the finish at Zara. Not detrimental to the dress at all. Not going to cause it to unravel, its not even visible its the lining under the dress, its just a bit of excess hem stitching thread that needs a trim.
She wants a refund.
Anyone else lowballing is just getting blocked immediately, its not even worth the hassle to sell to these people.
