I’m about to lose my job right before I buy my first house…

So basically I have been told my job is at risk of redundancy, I have only just joined the team less than a year ago so chances are I will be the first to go since they already told us that they are going by skills. I have been in the process of getting a mortgage for my first house (Fortunately it’s still early enough that I can pull out) but I’m just really disappointed because I have been looking forward to moving out and having my own space (I’m 21M). Also, I love my job, it pays well and has flexible hours plus working from home. Now I’m at a crossroad on what to do. I’m really tempted to just take my redundancy pay, and travel the world. I have a lot in savings and I don’t have any financial commitments so I can survive without a job for well over a year. Do you think this is a good idea or should I try get another job now and then still go ahead with my mortgage (provided that I can get another job in time).
