[PAID] 2D Artist needed for Steam Capsule Art (Background Illustration only) - $430 USD Budget

I’m looking for a skilled 2D illustrator to create the Steam capsule art for my upcoming indie game, Umbraelum.

About the Game & Lore: In Umbraelum, the main character is a symbiosis between a human and a demon. A core element of the game is that you can choose to grow stronger by empowering your demonic side, but at a heavy price: doing so corrupts you further, forcing you to deal with permanent negative mechanics for the rest of the run. I would love the capsule art to reflect this dark duality and tension.

Visual Style: The attached video is a compilation of clips to give you a feel for the overall "vibes" of the game. Our aesthetic relies heavily on a strong contrast between dark, moody environments and striking emissive colors. The illustration should capture this exact mood.

What I Need: I already have the final game logo designed. I only need the background illustration.

You will be responsible for creating a compelling composition that leaves the appropriate negative space to integrate the existing logo seamlessly, ensuring it stands out and remains readable at small sizes.

Deliverables required:

• Main Capsule (616 x 353px)
• Header Capsule (460 x 215px)
• Small Capsule (231 x 87px)
• Vertical Capsule (374 x 448px)
• Library Hero (1920 x 620px)
• The final high-resolution master PSD file with fully separated layers (background, characters, VFX, etc.), so I can make minor layout adjustments or export future promotional assets.

Budget, Timeline & Conditions:

• Budget: ~$430 USD.
• Timeline: The expected deadline for the final artwork is between 3 to 4 weeks from the start date.
• ⚠️ NO AI ART: I am strictly looking for 100% human-made artwork. Any portfolios or applications containing AI-generated content will be immediately rejected.
