My (26F) boyfriend (28M) apparently survives on vibes instead of toothpaste. Am I overreacting?

My boyfriend (28M) and I have been together for a little over a year.

A few months ago I accidentally discovered that he hadn’t brushed his teeth for… almost a week
For context, I stay at his place quite often. I use an electric toothbrush, and sometimes when my charger isn’t there, I just swap my brush head onto his toothbrush handle. One day I realized his toothbrush still had my brush head and hadn’t moved in days. At first I thought maybe he had another toothbrush hidden somewhere (please let there be another toothbrush…).

So I asked him.

His response?

“I forgot.”
…Forgot. To brush his teeth.

Naturally, this unlocked a whole new level of observation in me.

I started paying attention to his routine. He wakes up literally five minutes before his online office job starts, throws on a T-shirt, sits in front of his computer, and that’s it. No brushing. No washing his face. No shower.
As for showering, he showers every 3–4 days. His reasoning is that he has sensitive skin and showering too often dries it out. We live in Germany, so it’s relatively cool for most of the year, so I can understand not needing two showers a day or anything.

But here’s the part that completely breaks my brain.

He… doesn’t stink.
He doesn’t really have morning breath.
His teeth actually look pretty good. No obvious yellowing, no visible plaque that jumps out at me, and he’s never complained about cavities or tooth pain.

HOW??

Is this man genetically blessed? Is he secretly brushing when I’m not around? Is oral bacteria just afraid of him?

I’m genuinely confused because if someone told me they brushed once a week, I’d expect dragon breath and teeth held together by hope.

I’ve brought it up gently, and he just says he forgets or that it’s not a big deal. He’s otherwise a functioning adult with a full-time job, pays his bills, is mostly organized in other areas, etc.

Has anyone else known someone like this? Is this actually more common than I think? Is there some scientific explanation for why some people don’t seem to smell or have terrible breath despite questionable hygiene? Or am I dating the chosen one of dental genetics?
