What can I do to my father who has too much of a pride?
How do you handle fathers who can treat others as if they were buddies but when it comes to their child they're solid as diamond. I recently asked my father why would he immediately want to shout at me for even the smallest things. He gets angry at me for keeping my dogs urine pad at my bedroom when he needs it, and I said if he wanted help he can just ask me nicely and calmly but he ignores it and looks for other reason to get mad, even if the topic is not even related to his reasons to get angry. I'm really having a hard time adjusting even if my mother kept saying that he has been like that, but I just can't accept it. I tried having a more positive mind, I also tried ignoring my fathers extra words or extra mean words. But he gets on my nerves every time. Every time he gets closer he would have a habit of saying "tsk". There are times he crosses the line, not just crosses.. where he would tell me "If I can bring you back to your mothers womb I would!" and it takes weeks for me to even come out at my bedroom. I'm even considering to try and talk to a therapist.
What can I do? I feel like I would drop out of college because of him, I'm too tired of him.
