I'm curious about 50/50 relationships?

My question is why are 50/50 relationships such a bad thing to avoid?

Now think about this carefully. I get that traditionally men were the providers and women were the nurtures . But now in a short amount of time we've had a huge shift when it comes to social and gender Norms and expectations. Here is my take and I am fully open to changing my mind and learning something new .

My take is that every relationship is about negotiation an agreements. People can have all kinds of arrangements in the relationships that they want . The most common relationship framework is what we call traditional . Now people are a little bit more flexible and open to other types of relationships.

With that said I don't think most people are saying that whether they been with someone for one month or 7 years , that hey we put all of our bills and expenses together and then split it completely down the middle. So let's say everything added up to $1200 more or less . I've not seen people say yeah we're in a relationship where I pay $600 and they pay $600 .

From what I'm saying I do think that women are okay with contributing financially. I do think that plenty of men are and is willing to contribute with housework and child care if possible . It's not like men that don't do any domestic duties at all . I would imagine that most men would do yard work because that's seen as a masculine Duty .

I just think that if you want a 100% provider you need to explicitly say that when you are going on a first date or trying to get into a relationship. With that said I think honestly in our current society and culture . That might be an issue . Why is it an issue? Well because the competition is more competitive because most men will be asking themselves or what am I actually getting out of this relationship . Will she be non-confrontational? Will she give me a massages when I want them? Will I get a meal prepared every time I come home?

I think different relationship Styles work for different people and I think that it's not really 50/50 it's more like a metaphor for a fair deal in a relationship. I think relationships are a collaboration . I mean people have all kinds of circumstances that we don't even think of. I think money is a touchy subject and I think that people just don't want to be used and hurt. So with that said it's like well if one partner is going to be a 100% provider then I think it needs to be set up in which he's getting a lot out of the relationship in other ways . For me, that doesn't really resonate because it's like you're paying for their service . How's it any different than a sugar daddy / baby relationship?

Why not both people just communicate and say hey I don't mind paying for the first few dates but after a while that's collaborate and it's okay if you contribute a little money here and there and it's okay if I the man contribute here and there all kinds of traditionally feminine duties. There's some men that won't even do their own laundry . And yet I'm like I'll do my own laundry I don't need a woman to do that. So I just think that it's complicated but it just needs to be openly discussed. For me I can do most things on my own. And I'm willing to pay but I'm not okay with buying her just buying whatever and asking me to pay for it .
