Hi again! Updated my room layout based on your feedback from my last post, but now I’m completely lost with the rug placement.

I essentially have **3 zones** to balance:

1. **Left:** Between the low-profile bed & black desk/home office
2. **Right:** Dressing area (between bed, wardrobe, mirror & window)
3. **Foot of the bed:** Facing the wooden dresser

I need your eyes: **Does the current layout work? If so, how should I handle the rugs?**

**Option 1: One Big Area Rug Under the Bed**

* **The Plan:** Pull everything together with a large Mid-Century Modern / retro geometric rug.
* Hard to find large MCM/retro rugs locally (or very expensive).
* **My Concern:** Leaves the floor under the desk/chair completely bare, making the desk area look floating and weak.
* *Alternative:* Fake a large rug look using 3 runners around the bed?

**Option 2: Zone-Specific Rugs (or leaving some bare)**

* **2a) Desk vs. Bed Side (0.7m / 2.3ft gap):**
   * **A runner next to the bed?** Desk area stays bare.
   * **Rug under the desk + runner next to the bed?** Looks way too cluttered ("rug overkill").
   * **One wide rug covering BOTH desk & bed side?** Might tie the areas together.
   * **Wild idea:** Rug under the desk, plus a non-rug material (like a thin bamboo/wooden slat runner) next to the bed?
* **2b) Dressing Area (Right Side):**
   * A small narrow runner, OR a wider rug that fully covers the dressing/mirror zone?
* **2c) Foot of the Bed:**
   * Should I add a fluffy/organic-shaped accent rug here to soften the wood tones, or keep it empty?

**TL;DR / Help!**

I’m overthinking this to the point where *nothing* feels right. Is one big rug the only way to go, or is there a smart way to layer/zone this without making the floor look messy?

Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance!
