Missionaries safe?

conspiracy here but it seems strange with so many missionaries so young and in dangerous places theirs not more reports of assaults. do you think the church is quietly paying people off to keep the stories quiet. if mothers start hearing missionaries are raped, assaulted, or worse their not going to send their kids.
