Are heat pump dryers reliable in the long run?

Are energy efficient, but far more expensive heat pump clothes dryers reliable in the long run? Or should I stick to a conventional condensing dryer? I am located in Europe.

I read that LG (not my favourite brand for other electronics) heat pump dryers are considered the best in class. Has anybody any long term experience with these or other brands?
