I built another bill splitting app... Honest feedback?
I know... the world probably doesn't need another bill splitting app...
But I still decided to build one because I felt there was a different approach worth trying.
The biggest frustration I kept seeing was the setup. Most bill splitting apps require everyone to download the app, create an account, and go through onboarding before you can split a single bill.
With my app (Bill Split Pro), you create one group, share the link and password, and everyone joins the same group from Android, iOS, or the web. All platforms are connected in real time, so people can use whichever version they prefer. No registration is required.
I also built a browser-based bill split calculator for one-off calculations. You don't even need to create a group unless you later decide to save the calculation or collaborate with others. At that point, you can convert it into a shared group with a single click.
We launched on Product Hunt today:

I'm not here to say it's better than Splitwise or any other app. I genuinely want honest feedback.
- Would this approach make you more likely to use a bill splitting app?
- What would make you switch from your current solution?
- What's still missing?
I'd really appreciate any thoughts, whether they're positive or critical.
