I have had a cyst for months. Cannot afford surgery. What should I do?

Asking a Question

I have had one of these stupid cysts for months. It's ALWAYS there. It never goes away. It is not obvious from the surface though. This is VERY deep under the skin, the doctor didn't even see any signs of me having one until she pressed around my tailbone and felt it. She said there's no way to drain it in a regular medical office setting due to it being so far under the skin. I'll have to see a surgeon for it if I ever want it gone. I have to permanently use a donut cushion for work now. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt as much anymore unless I use the toilet for prolonged periods (I have IBS) or go on long car rides. It sometimes will hurt if I sit the wrong way. I keep seeing stories of people getting sepsis from these and it makes me incredibly paranoid. What can I do? I also sit for 8-13 hours a day because my job is understaffed and I am being overworked to death right now. I also have strict management when it comes to PTO and I'd imagine I need time off for surgery?

Has anyone ever just left their cyst alone and it never caused you any ill consequences? I just don't want to wait too long to get it fixed, but it feels like it's impossible for me to get it fixed right now with all of my life circumstances.
