APPROVED!! 🎉🇳🇬

Finally received my premium processing approval email for my OPT (I-765)!

As a Nigerian 🇳🇬 (one of the students from the 39 countries affected by all the uncertainty surrounding the recent policy changes) this journey has been especially stressful.

Timeline:

• Application filed: March 29, 2026
• Premium Processing requested: June 30, 2026
• Approved: July 30, 2026

My requested OPT start date was July 6, but USCIS approved my EAD with a validity period of July 30, 2026 - July 24, 2027.

I just want to thank everyone in this community who answered my questions, shared your experiences, and gave encouragement throughout the waiting process. This subreddit made a difficult season a little easier.
