Robert made a mistake in the Navy SEALs episode
I loved the episodes so much, that I read the books he used (Alpha and "Code over Country.")
During the Captain Philips incident, Robert reported that after they shot the pirates, a SEAL slid down a rope with a knife in his teeth and killed the remaining pirate with a knife, but stabbed him NINETY ONE times!
It's true that he killed a pirate with a knife, but the 91-stab rage incident happened on a completely different pirate mission. This was the SY Quest incident. What happened in this one was the opposite of the Philips incident.
Admiral McRaven was furious that the SEALs had taken the shots without authorization during the Philips mission. So he gave them strict orders not to fire without authorization.
Four missionaries were held hostage on board the SY Quest. Unable to take the shots, all four hostages were killed. When the SEALs boarded the boat, a SEAL attacked a pirate and went totally aggro and stabbed him 91 times. The situation was different. He was furious that he had been hamstrung and failed to save the hostages, so he went nuts. The SEAL was ordered into psych counseling, but was ultimately declared deployable.
