4 dates and no kiss?

I (27F) have gone out with this guy (27M) 4 times now and we have a 5th planned for this weekend. Our first date alone was nothing like I’ve ever experienced, it lasted 6 hours inside a coffee shop just talking over my unfinished drink. It only ended when it did because it was past midnight and we were tired. Each date since then has been really good and we text every day. But… he has made absolutely no move to kiss me at all. Our last date was at his place, he cooked me dinner and we watched a movie on his couch IN THE DARK. Still no move was made… at this point I’m worried he just wants to be friends. I know technically I could make a move too but I’m not very experienced in dating and I have really horrible self confidence so the fear of rejection is kind of crippling over here. I’ve always just assumed if men want to they will and so after the first few dates I brushed it off. But after this last one at his place I just don’t know anymore. There were so many opportunities for it to happen and now I’m losing confidence in this whole thing… a friend of mine suggested that maybe he’s nervous but to me that felt silly because it’s not like I’m a great catch or anything.

I recognize I have biased thinking here but this is just genuinely where my brain is at. Should I just abandon ship now and spare myself potential awkwardness in the future? Seriously… why hasn’t he even attempted to make a move? :/
