Buyer remorse

I recently purchased this PVS14 White Phos kind of on a whim, as it is what chat GPT suggested

I’m not really a tactical guy and am mostly interested in hiking and stargazing, looking at animals, etc. im now doing a bunch of research and people everywhere are saying gen 3 minimum, and am afraid I purchased poorly. What do you guys think?
