What kind of gloves do I need for heavy bag training?

I'm not that strong but I like to punch a heavy bag at my local (weight training) gym for fun. I got some wraps so I don't hurt my wrist. My knuckles are actually pretty touch but I want to get some gloves so I don't mess up the bag. Some heavier gloves seem to slow me down a lot (because I'm not that strong), and I'm wondering if there is some kind of gloves that provide just a little bit of padding but are lightweight, so I can bang on the bag at my gym without damaging the bag or myself. Appreciate any advice.
