Best GER elective course

I'm thinking of either NSS or Debate & Public Speaking. Can seniors from either of the courses tell more about it?

NSS :

What all will they make me do?

Will we have theory exams?

Does it require a lot of time for volunteering and stuff?

Debate Public Speaking :

How was your experience?

Do you have to be a really great public speaker to excel in it?
