My first time reaching mythic! Here's the decklist: [https://moxfield.com/decks/1Vs5cBc920GdCRanv5qirw](https://moxfield.com/decks/1Vs5cBc920GdCRanv5qirw)

Sorry to anyone who had to suffer against this evil. I'm primarily a 'Gruul good stuff' player, but was getting frustrated playing against many of the meta control decks in Platinum/Diamond. So, I thought I would try out Gruul control via land destruction.

\[\[Ruby, Daring Tracker\]\] (my commander) is intended to guarantee early game ramp so that I could almost always destroy a land on turn 3, either via sorceries or via \[\[Mole Man, Moloid Master\]\] > \[\[Strip Mine\]\]. If I was lucky, I could sacrifice Ruby on turn 3 to \[\[Eldritch Evolution\]\] to get \[\[Icetill Explorer\]\] out, followed by a double Strip Mine. If I was playing against Black, I would often sacrifice Ruby via \[\[Natural Order\]\] to bring out \[\[Woodfall Primus\]\], which gives me 2-for-1 land destruction if they choose to destroy it. I would also very frequently destroy lands with \[\[Beast Within\]\] (sometimes on turn 2, if I had \[\[Ancient Tomb\]\]) because the 3/3 creature. My personal favorite form of "land destruction" was \[\[Primal Command\]\] -- which would put a land on the top of my opponent's library (giving them a dead draw) and then putting \[\[Acidic Slime\]\] or \[\[Ravager Wurm\]\] on top of my library, which often prompted them to concede.

My 1-2 CMC red removal package + some Deathtouch rampers helped to protect me against early game commanders. There are a couple of cards that I was considering swapping out (Nissa, Toski, Bumi Bash) but they always came in clutch in very niche circumstances, so I kept them anyway.

I'm sure the deck could be better, but I just wanted to share.
