Been seeing a lot of AirPods Max reps lately and finally decided to grab one. Paid around **700 CNY** for this metal version and after using it for a few days, I genuinely think it’s one of the better value electronics I’ve bought.

Shipped with **EMBuy EMS** without any issues. Box arrived in great condition and everything inside was packed properly.

**First Impressions**
The biggest difference compared to the cheaper versions is obviously the **full metal earcups**. As soon as you pick it up, it has that premium weight that the plastic versions just don’t have. It feels much closer to retail in hand.
The mesh headband feels comfortable even after wearing it for a couple of hours and the Digital Crown and ANC button both have satisfying clicks.

Packaging is also pretty complete:
\-Smart Case
\-USB C charging cable

**Compared To My Retail AirPods Pro 3**
Obviously these are completely different products, but since my AirPods Pro 3 are my daily driver, here’s how they compare.

**Sound Quality**

The Max has noticeably better bass and a much wider soundstage simply because of the larger drivers. Vocals are clean and they get surprisingly loud.
Compared to my retail AirPods Pro 3:
\-Better bass
\-Fuller sound
\-Better immersion for movies and gaming
The Pro 3 still sounds a little cleaner in the mids and highs, but the difference honestly isn’t massive considering the price.
