“I wasn’t talking about you”

I keep having conversations with groups of people (especially coworkers) and they’ll refer to me as “he”and then whenever I correct them they’ll say “i wasnt talking about u i was talking about x coworker,” even though as far as i can tell it’s clear theyre talking about me. im autistic so im not the best at social situations but the “mistake” has happened enough times that im beginning to wonder if theyre just trying to gaslight me into thinking theyre not misgendering me. has anyone else experienced this or am i just mentally ill lol
