First time concert goer question :)

Hi! i’m really excited to go to D1 in East Rutherford, but honestly worried about what to expect as I really want to buy merch and am seeing
people say they’re gonna start camping starting today (merch store opens tomorrow).

Can anyone who’s been to a show recently explain their experience with merch? Is it better for me to just buy inside the venue, or was showing up to early
merch fine? I don’t have the time to line up hours ahead of time, so my initial plan was to just show up an hour or two after the store opens.

I also don’t really have interest in buying the jerseys, but am eyeballing mostly their US exclusive hoodies and tees.

Btw - I’m a local and live 10 min away from MetLife. I’m happy to answer any transit questions you may have :)
