No Names on Kid's Shirts
Saw this post and found it interesting. The comments indicated it was a dumb graphic because it was common sense not to have kids names on shirts, claiming it was a safeguarding issue. This is an English site.
It has never in a million years occurred to me that it's a safety issue. I figured it was a money/coordination nightmare to get names on kits so that's why most teams didn't. Every kit/jersey for any sport my kid plays stateside, if it has his surname, he is rocking that thing proudly all the time. I remember growing up, getting a kit with your name on it was mind blowing.
Are kids in England getting kidnapped because of their surname on a shirt? Seems wild.
I wonder what other cultural differences there are.
