What birth control would be best for me?

I have horribly painful periods and would like to stop them.

I’ve used the pill for a long time, but I’m terrible at remembering to take it every day, especially at the same time.

My sister is on the depo shot and really likes it so I thought I would try it, but it’s making me break out really bad and apparently can cause weight gain. I also read it can take a long time to regain fertility and my partner and I are looking to start trying for a baby within the next year and a half or so.

So ideally I would like something that will stop my periods without effecting my fertility too much when I decide to stop. I’m considering maybe the implant? I know there’s IUDs, but I’ve heard they’re super painful and can migrate and I’m kind of scared of them ngl lol
