How do I approach this girl?

Hey guys, I was just looking for some help to change my mentality about a girl

So there is this girl at my church, and I have known her for more than 3 years now, but I am a quiet guy and mostly observe. For the past few months I have now been interested in her, but I am sure her impression of me is not the same. I have been very neutral, and I am sure I am not seen as a romantic option here.

I am very liked by moms, and it just seems that I would be the perfect son in law (at least from the outside), and to be honest, I want to be seen this way: as a guy that works for its future, have ambitions, ethics, etc. I want a partner that notices these things, but I dont want to restric too much my options right now.

We had an event last week and I say a guy talking to her, and to be honest again, deeply, I dont want to be those charismatic types of guys that can pick up any girl, I just want to show my presence, build a relationship where I have room to give this next step.

People just tell me to have attitude, but this is a complex situation, and I dont have many abilities either. I just wanted to know how to approach her and show her that I am a good option, and I am not in a hurry, so I have time to build this new impression over the old coward/weak impression.

Just for a little more context, I am not, in any way, good socially and I cant seem to have deep relationships with anybody, so there is something I my mentality thats gotta change.

Should I give up on trying, work on my life, and one day I will be seen this way?
