Preferences for painting

What do you prefer?

Brushes or knives?

Ready made paint or pigment and oil straight onto the substrate?

Personally i prefer knifes (for very fine work, silcone paint shapers) and i prefer to mix pigments with oil over tubed paint

(ive had to resort to tubes lately as i dont have all my pigments with me)
