Am I overreacting to this workplace comment directed towards me in front of everyone?

Seeking Advice

Hey, any advice and opinions are welcome, I wanna see if im being too sensitive or if this was rude/weird to say to me. (Am 22F btw)

I work in a small office (like a dozen people) and someone was being brought in and introduced to our team while we were all working on our computers. One of my coworkers (male, 40s) when speaking about me says in a joking matter “This is (my irl name), she’s our super silent and unspeaking hard worker” and internally i was just kinda like damn.

Im not the chattiest, we work in an open office setting and i can be overwhelming by the constant noise when im working making me not always wanna be social from like 9-5, but i do speak and have (imo) a friendly normal relationship with my coworkers? even sending reels and stuff to a couple when we’re outside work. I don’t speak to the one who said this that much in particular, but we are very different and don’t really have anything in common so I just find him hard to speak to? but i am absolutely always polite to everyone and will always speak when spoken to and will join conversations and stuff. Me and this particular coworker who said this dont have a common banter where joke about each other so it came out of nowhere for me.

I understand im not the best, am not particularly shy, just can feel overwhelmed being too social and dont have the best social skills in general.

But am i majorly overreacting to this? it embarrassed me he said it in front of everyone and it just feels like whenever I think im doing okay socially, its actually like “nah everyone notices u can be awkward and quiet and we’re gonna outwardly announce it to everyone”

I know I can be sensitive and hard on myself, so please tell me if im overthinking this!!
