first, a few more details - I don't love full glam/very heavy looks on me, and this includes big lashes. for a going out look, I'll usually do a light application of brown cream eyeshadow and a dark wing (more of a straighter style compared to an upturned wing - see last pic for example). I do occasionally get a lash lift, but I don't have one in this picture. 

I like the direction of this look, but I want to make sure it lasts throughout the duration of the event (several hours, outdoors) and photographs well. I believe I'll need a heavier application, which is not something I'm totally used to. while I feel confident doing my every day and going out makeup, this is definitely a step up for me. thankfully, I have time to practice!

I've also never really used contour or bronzer because it's difficult to find a shade that works well with my skin town. I think they tend to look muddy or orange? I've also never used a setting powder, but I'm interested in trying that. I just don't quite know how to apply as I use a beauty blender for all of my face products and only use a small brush for eyeshadow. I also get dry patches on my chin than I can really only avoid with excellent skin prep. 

lastly - should I keep the winged eyeliner from my typical special occasion (last pic)? I really like it, but I'd like for the photos from this event to be timeless. I also think it might detract from the softer look I'm going for, but I'm not sure.
