Key fob stuck in ignition

I have a 2009 R56 Base model and my key is stuck in the slot, I've tried suggested fixes..loose battery cables, pushing it in farther and pulling it out quickly. The car starts fine so I'm not thinking it's the battery, but what do I know? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
