How to know if a railing on my loft can support my weight for Olympic rings?

I just moved to an apartment with a loft. The railing is bolted to the ceiling which makes me think it will work. The vertical bar doesn't extend all the way to the ground - it stops at the floor of the loft. I am hoping to have the rings just hang over the loft so they're always available. There is another connection point to the ceiling to the left of the picture as well, so maybe connecting it in between those points would be better? I weigh 190 lbs.

A power tower in the loft wont work, it's too short.
