I’m starting singing lessons as an introvert

For context, I’m a lead guitarist (18M) that’s planning to start an indie rock tribute band in the near future. I came to think about how I was gonna recruit musicians. I ideally wanted a frontman who sung well (obviously) and most likely plays rhythm guitar too. Then I suddenly thought about how hard it was gonna be finding a frontman who fits that niche. So quick solution, I become the frontman.

Next week I’m starting my first singing lessons, and I’m pretty anxious. For anyone who wasn’t naturally a frontman or confident singing in front of people, how long did it take before you felt comfortable? Did the confidence just come with experience, or was there something that helped you get over the self-consciousness?
