okay so since 2026 is following a trend of releasing a mega character every update, this is our current list of 'em:

with this current listing, we come to a total of 11 mega surfers

now since that every single update so far last for a period duration of 20 days (or about 3-ish weeks) and we have until the rest of late august and the rest of the year, I can conclude the total number of mega surfers

for starters, Runa is a mega surfer for August 3rd to August 23rd (20 days)

so from August 24th til September 12th bring a mega character

September 13 til October 3rd brings another mega character (very most likely halloween theme, which could be a random surfer from that craft-a-character contest back in June

October 4 til October 24th brings another mega character

October 25th til November 13th brings another mega character, prob a thanksgiving themed surfer

November 14th til December 4th brings a mega character, prob Christmas themed

December 5th til December 25th brings the last mega surfer for 2026

so that means we could very well possibly get a full roster of 17 mega surfers (could be wrong due to special events possibly lasting an entire month but who knows nows)
